WOLF FLOW

This project is the encounter of an animal and the imaginary it conjures with its walking/running rhythms. The album is a site-specific project made from videos and a few recordings taken at the “Ferme des Petits Cailloux” around Gap (FR) . The composition is dedicated to the owners of this farm: Toto & Lise. An infrared camera was installed not far from their farm, on the hills. In early January 2024, while it had already been heard at night, a wolf appeared in the captured images. The cover of this album is this first image that some internet users helped to refine slightly to clarify the silhouette. Seeing the gait of this fascinating animal, with its unique flow, I immediately started composing. The edited and organized video images are launched live by a system that almost makes this mythical animal dance. Repeat. Slow Motion. Start. Stop. Go. And. Wait. Listen. Walk again… WOLF FLOW is made to make you enter the dance of such a rare animal.
The project’s first live session will be June 29, 2024, at Kugler, Reactor Gallery, Geneva (CH).
